#65: Hibernator Barley Wine

Brewed December 2, 1989, bottled January 27, 1990

Ingredients for 4 gallons (50 bottles)

5 pounds Light DME
5 pounds Amber DME
4 pounds Alexander's Sun Country Extract
4 ounces Northern Brewer for 75 minutes
4 ounces Brewer's Gold for 75 minutes
1.5 ounces Cascade for 15 minutes
1 ounce Hallertau for 15 minutes
1 ounce CFJ-90 Dry hop
Yeast: 2nd generation Chico Ale
Boil: 75 minutes

O.G.: 1.102 at 70 degrees

F.G.: 1.024

Priming: .5 cup corn sugar, and fresh yeast from #68

Comments: (11/20/90) Tastes great going into the bottel, nice level of sweetness, hops stay around a LONG time.
