The Mad Brewer's Diary

September 24, 1995

Still feeling the effects of my cold, we checked out some of the local sights. The Trip to Jeruselum was a major disappontment, because they no longer have tours of the inner santum areas. It’s strictly a tourist trap now. Nottingham castle is a cool place though, We went on the museum tour, and had lunch there. The downtown area has lots of shops, pubs, and pedestrian malls, and is worth checking out.

We spent the evening in the Queens Head pub. All the locals were in one room, which was quite smoky, and we had the front bar to ourselves, with plenty of fresh air so I could breathe. Steve is quite a cellarmaster, and manages the real ales so that they are always fresh, and properly served.
