We managed to get the name of a good local cheese shop from Steve, and went there to gather up some cheese for the train ride. The selection was incredible, and of course, Kim and I tasted each one before making the final choices. We took the train to Knaresborough, which is just west of York. The Mitre Hotel is located at the station, and was the Inn of choice, as the cold was still having its affect on me. As usual, there is a bar in the Inn, which features Directors Bitter, which has a good hop finish. As we walked around town, we sampled John Smith’s Bitter, in very good condition.
