Farewell to Real Ale

San Francisco Airport

March 12, 1999

"Let no man thirst for Real Ale"

So we meet again at the Barbary Coast, in the San Francisco airport.   Time for the commemorative Anchor Steam to bid farewell to the New World, and celebrate our foray to the "Old England".

Our merry crew of three consists of Kim, Harry, and Ken, the instigator of this mess, aptly rewarded with the flu at the present time.  Thank God for Anchor Steam, the old decent brew in the airport.

Now for some very important information: Steam is $4.45, or 5.45 for the big one (20 oz. makes it an Imperial pint).  Hmm, time for another brew, Kens opts for the Barbary Coast beer, which is probably Pacific Ridge.  Me, give me Steam, or forget it!
Speaking of Bon Voyage activities, Steve shared his Ardbeg 17 with us last night, wow it's good.  I followed up with a Bowmore, but is was not a good match.
