The centrum is a combination cafe and hotel, and is the only place to stay in Beersel.  Our new friends had wandered back to the hotel a bit earlier than us, so we arrived there about 2:30 in the morning.  Paul was staying in the main hotel, and we were in the annex in the back.  So we said good night in the parking lot, and off we went.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get in, because the key didn't work.  As a matter of fact, there was a key left in the lock to the annex.  Very strange.  Eventually Paul looked out the window and saw us trying to get in, and came down to help us.  We tried pounding on the door, then pounding on the windows.  45 minutes later, we finally managed to wake up Chris, and he let us in.

The wise trekker always dresses warm when it's cold out
