October 28, 1998

The Wildeman (Wild Man) is located more centrally than our previous watering hole, and required a lengthy tram ride, which did nothing but add to my thirst.   So we dispensed with the normal seating ritual, and proceded directly to the bar.

The beer selection is good, but the choice of native Dutch beers is limited.  They have a dozen or so beers on tap, which is quite unusual.

We ran into Michael Jackson here, he was in quite a rush to leave.  It seems that he had been indulging in a whisky tasting, but he did manage to remember Brendan, and said he would be at the Bok tasting on the morrow.

Skimme Kappe: 6.5%, 7.00
Good balance, lots of crystal malt flavor, but still dry.  Copper color.

Venloosch Alt: 3.75/25 cl
Refreshing, well made alt.
